T/N/V/R in Texas

Fur a Pawsitive Future in Houston, Texas received a 5000.00 grant award from Cold Noses to Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return 55 feral cats in the Northside Village area. One cat was humanely euthanized. This program helps improve the lives of the cats living in these outdoor colonies. Costs are maintained to a reasonable level as there is less money spent on feeding new litters, and without new babies to care for, more time can be spent maintaining the feeding spaces and houses. This improves the space not only for the cat colonies themselves, but for the people coexisting with these animals.

This program saved more than just those 55 feral cats! At one street colony, while they sterilized 10 cats, they also rescued and found permanent indoor homes for 13 additional cats.

One especially touching moment was when a mama cat brought all of her babies to the rescuers. They were able to provide her and each of her babies with loving - indoor- homes!
