Community Emergency Assist Program/Mercy Fund

Each of the emergency veterinary expenses that these funds were used to help were applied for urgent care calls from families and individuals in the community. These were all individuals who have scarce resources and often are trading their own personal needs to find ways to care for their pets.  In so many of these cases, we found their animal was all that they had. Mercy Fund Animal Rescue in North Carolina received a  $3,000 grant from Cold Noses and helped 20 animals. (16 dogs (including a litter of 3 puppies) and  4 cats).
